Gorski Voted to Board of Education
Killingworth resident Nancy Gorski, was unanimously approved to fill the seat vacated by Catherine McGrady on the Reg. 17 Board of Education, at last night's Special Town Meeting. Gorski, the Republican nominee, was nominated by Killingworth Republican Town Committee Nominations Chairman Frank Cunningham and the nomination was seconded by Democratic Town Committee Chairman Mike Sanders. Gorski was unopposed in the election following Friday's announcement that Democratic nominee Richard Berzon had withdrawn his name from consideration.

Gorski will hold the seat on the Regional School Board until the November 8, 2005 election. She has spent 25 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, has lived in Killingworth with her husband Les since 1999 and has two children, including a fourth grader at Killingworth Elementary.

She writes her goal is "to bring the same fiscal responsibility I apply in my career to my role on the Board of Education. Our educators, for their part, deserve an environment that promotes a quality education."
