In regards to Mr. Waters' recent letter, I have to wonder if he researched with Troop F, the number of accidents on Route 81. Or, has he read the weekly emergency accident/incident reports generated by our fire company? Just wondering.

To the Editor:
Tom Water's article was right on. I congratulate him for having the time and guts to write it.

Bus Delays Causing ConcernRegional 17 Schools Superintendent Gary Mala has been working with students, bus drivers and individual school administrators to shorten the length of time it takes to get kids on their buses at the end of the day. Up to two hour delays have been reported by parents. On Wednesday, Mala said the district had "turned a corner" on the bus problems, completing all the afternoon bus runs within an "acceptable amount of time". Read more about this in today's Hartford Courant
To the Editor:
Your articles over speed limits recently are very frightening. Why is it that over the last 10 years, there are hardly any accidents in town? Maybe because we are allowed to drive as road conditions permit. Speed limits do not work. They never have and they never will. Go on the highway and you see that traffic flows at 80 not 65. As cars get better, people will drive faster. People in other countries do not have speed limits and they are safer and less stressed out driving. Read more
