HK Sports: Last night, the HKHS Wrestling team suited up at full strength for the first time this season and came away with another big win over Morgan. Injuries and weight issues previously forced the Cougars to forfeit as many as three weight classes in a team dual meet. Last night, the full squad demonstrated its depth and balance with 14 focused varsity grapplers ready to square off against their cross town rivals, the Morgan Huskies.

The night had many highlights but, freshman Adric Howell stole the show with a pin over Nathan Perdue in the first period of their match. Coach Korper praised Howell's efforts and hopes that this is the match that allows Howell to break through in his inaugural year of varsity wrestling. The Cougars dominated the match, 60-21.

HK is headed to Manchester this weekend for a multi-meet contest at Cheney Tech with Foran, Wolcott Tech, and University High School of Hartford.

The Cougars are a perfect 7-0 in Shoreline Conference play and travel to Hale Ray on Friday.

In JV action, HK lost a close game 35-34 to the Blue Devils. Shaina Rowley led the team with 12 points and Cloe Savino had 11.
