Bob said, "Notice that the prints do not have claws at the end of the pads, and that the pads are not tear shape like a dog. Looking it up in my track book it seems to be a large bobcat. Bobcat tracks are 1 7/8" to 2 1/2" long by 1 7/8" to 2 5/8" wide".
According to the Connecticut DEP, "Compared to many wildlife species, bobcats rarely cause conflicts with human activities. Infrequently, they kill livestock, especially fowl, and attack domestic cats. Problems caused by bobcats are too infrequent to justify efforts to reduce populations. Bobcat attacks on people are virtually unknown. They are not a significant vector of disease and rarely contract the mid-Atlantic strain of rabies." Photo courtesy B. Wettish ![]() To Killingworth Republican Voters,

By Catherine Iino I am very pleased that Republican voters today recognized Linda Dudek's strong credentials for the position of Town Clerk and Claudette Lagasse's, for that of Town Treasurer. Killingworth will continue to be well served by both of these generous, responsible, and knowledgeable public servants. To the Editor: By Jeff Yazmer I would like to offer a special thank you to all of those who came out and supported the Right Vote 09 Campaign's efforts in this election. Historically, Killingworth's Primaries have not had large turnouts. The Right Vote 09's unofficial count for this election shows over 41% of the town's republicans came out to be heard. I thank you for coming with hopes that the November's election and future elections will receive the same high voter turnout. This shows that people do care and have the town's best interest in mind.Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: By David Denvir On behalf of the Killingworth Republican Town Committee, I extend my thanks to many: the poll workers, candidates, and everyone that worked so hard to produce the remarkable turnout. Most of all, I thank the hundreds of dedicated republicans that supported the caucus-endorsed candidates. To the Editor:
By John W. McMahon The September 15th Republican Primary fast approaches and I feel it is time we all remember what is of prime importance after we sift through all the commotion. What I believe to be most the most important issue is what is ultimately in the best interests of the citizens of Killingworth and who is best able to represent those interests. Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: By David Denvir Political primaries are unusual, and Killingworth's current one is unusually nasty. I'm pleased to know it ends soon, and offer a word as to what brought us here. Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: John Samperi This Tuesday Killingworth Republicans will vote for four key officials to go on the general election ballot. The RightVote09 candidates are all Republicans and are all equally qualified. We do not believe one has to be born in Killingworth to love Killingworth. Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: By Jeff Yazmer Thank you, Ms Boulay for your questions & the opportunity to answer them for you & the townspeople of Killingworth. Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: By Jeannie Young I am writing in response to a posting on Thursday, September 10th regarding myself and the other candidates with the Right Vote 2009 campaign. I greatly appreciate the wonderful remarks made on my behalf, however I feel that I need to make one correction. While I do have a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University it is in Fitness not in Finance. As stated in that same posting I do have business management experience as well as years of banking experience. I feel the most important qualifications for anyone seeking an elected town position are honesty, integrity and a desire to serve the great people of this town. I feel very qualified to serve as the Killingworth Town Treasurer and fully support my fellow Right Vote 2009 Candidates. Sunday, September 13, 2009"Right to Vote 09"... I am still waiting for answers..please help!
Eileen Boulay Recently I submitted a document to Killingworth today.com with anticipation of receiving answers to my questions posed to the "Right to Vote 09" folks. I look(ed) forward to receiving the answers. To my surprise, I have received many emails asking if I received the answers to those questions. Click to Read Full Letter To the Editor: By David Gross I recently saw a primary election poster sponsored by The "Real" Republican Team. As a registered Republican in town for the past 25 years, I always thought I was a real Republican, but apparently I'm not as I am in favor of electing the most qualified individuals to serve in our town administration regardless of their party affiliation. No surprise then that I fully endorse the slate that The Killingworth Republican Town Committee has put forward comprised of many outstanding individuals that have and continue to serve this town very well.
