The Killingworth Evergreen Garden Club was established
over 28 years ago. Our commitment to the community begins with educational programs, planting and maintaining town gardens as well as our annual plant sale fund raiser which provides scholarships to students of all ages. Our Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
The theme of each meeting varies throughout
the year. Our schedule often includes garden tours, guest speakers, informational
topics, as well as spring and fall clean-up of the gardens of the Town
Offices, the Black Rock Schoolhouse, and the Killingworth traffic circle.
By working together our members share in making our town a better place
to live.
Come and join us at our next meeting!

Killingworth Evergreen Garden Club Annual
Plant Sale
The Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Garden Club Scholarship 2007
Killingworth Evergreen Garden Club has awarded Matthew Cartoceti with the garden club's annual scholarship. Matthew will be attending Cornell University in the fall and will be enrolled in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Matthew realizes the importance of preserving nature as well as the environmental issues facing our world today. For the summer he was accepted into a program at Shoals Marine Laboratory on Appledore Island off the coast of Maine. There he studied marine life and helped in researching the fragile ecosystem of our coastal waters. Because of his love of nature as well as his concern for current environmental issues; Matthew will major in The Science of Natural & Environmental Systems with his concentration focused on Environmental Biology & Ecology.
