KSA Scholarship Applications Available

The Killingworth Scholarship Association is offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Killingworth. Applications must be submitted by e-mail and are available through our website at www.KillingworthToday.com/KSA. The application deadline is March 31st.

The application process involves completion of a questionnaire and an essay, followed by an interview for selected applicants. Interviews are held in late April and early May.

The Killingworth Scholarship Association is proud to have awarded $129,500 to 187 outstanding students since first recorded in 1986. Each year, the committee, made up of community volunteers, reviews applications from an impressive group of young men and women. Based on their academic achievement, character, leadership skills, and participation in school and community activities, the committee selects several students for the scholarships. Income is not a consideration. The amount of each scholarship award varies, depending on both the number of successful applicants and the amount of money received through donations and fundraising activities.

If you are interested in supporting our scholarship fund, please send your tax-deductible contribution to: The Killingworth Scholarship Association, Inc., c/o Robin Chasse, Treasurer, P.O. Box 653, Killingworth, CT 06419.

If you are interested in learning more about the Association and how you might get involved, please email us at KSACommittee@hotmail.com.

Class "S" State Wrestling Championship coming to HKHS

Haddam-Killingworth High School will be hosting the Class “S” Tournament for the first time ever on Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th! This event will be attended by 39 visiting teams, and will give us the opportunity to showcase our amazing campus. However, this unique privilege comes with a cost and as the host school, the prospect of effectively serving our guests falls on our team.

We are asking our community along with other wrestling communities for assistance in creating a respectful and significant tournament with a new standard of competition etiquette.

Our goal requires financial resources, equipment and volunteer support. We know that we are a small regional high school and challenges of this magnitude can be difficult to realize, but our hope is that when you receive this request you will give generously and support our efforts.

Please note that all contributions to the Booster Club are tax deductible and all checks should be made payable to HKHS Wrestling. Thank you in advance for your generous support for a successful State Tournament at Haddam-Killingworth High School. For more information contact Marianna at malarosa@comcast.net.
