To the Editor:

I am extremely interested in education for Haddam and Killingworth and attended the Board of Education Debate, October 30th, to hear the opinions, direction and ideas that the candidates for Killingworth have. Imagine my surprise when the only canditate there was John O'Leary. Haddam had 5 people present for 6 openings and we in Killingworth had 1 person for three openings. We all understand previous commitments, however I was disappointed by the turnout and a little embarassed for our town.

Although I knew John O'Leary only as a neighbor, I was more than impressed by his dedication, ideas, convictions and genuine concern for our children's future in education. He attends every meeting, interacts with the board members and, as an incumbent, shown a commitment to our future, our children.
I am certainly voting for John and hope that you will too.
