To the Editor:

As another political season winds down, it is a good time to reflect on what we want Killingworth to become. We cannot stop the changes that are under way and so we must choose leadership that will consider what the electorate wants for the future.

Every survey that I am familiar with in the past has shown that people want "to keep our rural character". I agree. We need leadership that will consider concerned points of view before making decisions. Our Planning & Zoning Commission has consistently been upheld in court cases because they have listened to the people through timely surveys and discussions in formulating and revising the town plan.

Rick Albrecht, with 40 years of experience in town affairs, will bring informed leadership to Town Hall. He has always been one of the people who do the real work in town, whether it be with the Fire Company, the Ambulance Association, through his church or the VFW. The list of service goes on.

Leadership and listening skills go hand in hand. With the leadership experience, and listening skills of Team Killingworth's Albrecht, Iino and Sipples, along with that of the entire Democratic slate, Killingworth will continue to thrive.

Remember the people who did and still do the real work when you vote this Tuesday. And don't underestimate the importance of local elections. The person who sits in Town Hall sets the tone for the town and much of its agenda.

The polls are open from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. November 6th for your voting convenience. Schools are closed so parking will be easier.

Sincerely,
Louis Annino, Sr.
