A Real Candidate for Killingworth-Rick Albrecht

Rick Albrecht has deep connections to Killingworth. He is an active life-long resident of this town. His experience and knowledge show that he is the most qualified person for the office of First Selectman.

Rick and his family came to Killingworth shortly after his birth in 1948. He went through our school system, K. E. S. and then Morgan High School and Thames Valley State Technical College in Norwich. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He learned the North Vietnam language and flew many missions over Laos and the Gulf of Tonkin.

Upon returning to Killingworth, Rick ran for elective office, serving as selectman, and then First Selectman in 1977. He served in that capacity for two years and then another four years as a selectman.

Rick has volunteered on the Ambulance team for years. He has been with the Killingworth Fire Company for over 40 years and is highly regarded by those who have needed these emergency services. Rick has also been an active member of the Congregational Church.

A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars since returning from active duty, Rick is now the Commander of the local chapter. He is always present and involved at Killingworth's Memorial Day services and at other related ceremonies of importance to this town.

Matt Albrecht, Rick's son, was just recently honored for his work on behalf of teens by MADD at a state ceremony. Matt indicated that his father had been responsible for his achievements in life. It was obvious in Matt's comments just how much he respects his father.

Because of his life-long involvement with Killingworth, Rick has gained knowledge- backed experience of our town and how it operates. He knows the routines and procedures of our town government better than anyone else. He is familiar with the town charter, ordinances, and regulations and he respects them.

Rick Albrecht will serve as our First Selectman without taking excessive time from this fulltime position. He will utilize his knowledge of Killingworth, continue with his strong connections with the town, and most importantly, he will continue to treat members of Killingworth with the respect they deserve.

I urge you to join me in doing what is best for Killingworth and its residents by voting for Rick Albrecht, the Democratic Party's endorsed candidate for First Selectman, on November 6th.
