To the Editor:
I would like to say that to have a man who knows nothing about traffic patterns randomly and single handedly put up stop signs, change the Green Hill Road intersection and spend 100,000 bucks is crazy. I think he should be paying all future costs to fix the Green Hill Road intersection after all he did ruin it in the first place. Now who will pay to make it more rounded and open, exactly like it was? Not the taxpayers my friends, let him pay for it, take it out of his salary this year.He put a three way stop in many places in town, do you know that many accidents happen on three way stops? Most people assume the oncoming car is also going to stop and make a turn, hoping that someone coming at them will stop because three way stops are very uncommon and dangerous. Since this man has been in so many third world countries, he should know that traffic flows best without signs and stop lights. The way Killingworth was, was perfect, no lines, no signs, and people paid attention and did not crash into the side of the road , nor did they hit anyone else until the last few years. He should pay for these stop signs himself and the removal should be deducted from his pay, before someone crashes and is killed. Isn't the town liable when we do these things without any traffic study? If I die at this intersection then I will personally sue Klein and the town for sure.
Once I went to his golf business in Madison and he was quite mean to me for no reason, he never is nice to anyone I think. He needs to move before he ruins this town more. We are and were a friendly people and town.
People talk about more fields and more fields every year. Do these people realize that they are asking all the people of this town to use their money and pay for a field, and spend money to make the field usable for children? I drive by our new school, and hardly ever do I see anyone using those fields. Why did we pay for them and then have restrictions put on them so that 'we the people of this town' cannot use them except for a single purpose such as soccer? Other towns have put restrictions like 'get a permit to play' on their fields. That is crazy when everyone paid for these fields in the first place. Before you ask for more fields, think about it, maybe the people who want another field should get together and pay for it as they will likely be using it more than people without kids. If you have the money for a field then go buy a field, but do not force taxes to go up and every single person here in town to pay for something they will never use. You have to think of things from all sides.
The town was run perfectly and nicely many years ago and I hope that in the next month we undue all the terrible things that have happened in the last two years and go back to being a nice town, a quiet town, and a peaceful town, without accidents and angry people and useless road construction that wastes the money of fellow Americans. And I hope we lower taxes so that people, especially younger people can afford to live in this town. Has anyone seen someone 25 - 35 years of age in this town lately?
