Over the years I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing leaders. Many of them have possessed some admirable qualities that I felt where very rare attributes indeed. In my opinion, one of the rarest of these attributes is the quiet ability to persuade, motivate and inspire others. The ability to accomplish these things diplomatically is a symphony of ability that few ever master, it is the quiet voice of reason we wish we heard more often.
Cathy Iino is an individual with these qualities. She possesses not only brilliance when it comes to process, procedure and law, she also possesses that rare and unique emotional intelligence that allows her, through her leadership ability and style, to bring out the very best in groups of people.
Through her service to this town and her actions, she has demonstrated that she truly loves the town of Killingworth. Cathy has also spent years developing world class expertise in areas that are critically important to the future development of Killingworth. She has developed a clear vision of the direction that the residents of this town wish to take and will work to separate the devil from the details.
I have a great deal of respect for Cathy Iino. I believe that her measured approach to issues and her ability to deal fairly and calmly with others will bring a more settled deliberation to the tasks facing our Board of Selectmen.
I urge the people of Killingworth to cast a vote for the future that all of us wish to see realized. Let’s put this truly remarkable woman to work for us.
