To the Editor:

This Tuesday Killingworth Republicans will vote for four key officials to go on the general election ballot.

The RightVote09 candidates are all Republicans and are all equally qualified. We do not believe one has to be born in Killingworth to love Killingworth.

We also do not believe that Republicans should cross endorse Democrats for any position, if there are qualified Republicans who wish to put their name on the ballot. Longevity just does not ensure the best elected official.

In years past, both town committee's did cross endorse candidates, but no one stood up and said I'd like to run for that position. The incumbents should be willing to stand for election letting the voters decide. This year the Republican voters have the opportunity to decide and will on Tuesday.
