Dear Editor: As a resident of Killingworth, I would like to encourage my fellow residents to consider Gwenn Lalley for the Board of Finance. I have had the pleasure of serving on two committees with Ms. Lalley. Each of these committees was assigned responsibilities that would shape Killingworth's future. In both experiences Ms. Lalley demonstrated the, leadership, focus and knowledge that assured a beneficial solution to the tasks of each committee. While Ms. Lalley and I have differing affiliations with political parties, I am confident that the skills Ms. Lalley possesses would make a positive contribution to Killingworth's Board of Finance. As we enter the voting booths this November, we need to consider the important period we are in with our town's finances. The next four years will see Killingworth undertaking its largest construction project to date; there are important directions on how we wish to arrange our town and serious decisions to be made about recreation facilities we offer our children. I for one would like to see decision makers who can see the town's future and steer us towards it with common sense and financial responsibility. It is my sincere opinion that Ms. Lalley, in her service to the community, has demonstrated that she has these traits and can put them to use on Killingworth's Board of Finance.
