Dear Editor:

I am writing in support of the candidacy of Fred Dudek, Jr., for the office of Killingworth selectman.
I have known Fred for over twenty years, both as a fellow volunteer for the Killingworth Ambulance Association and as a friend.

I have always found Fred to be an intelligent, honest, straight-forward individual who never fails to let me know where he stands on an issue. He frequently offers possible solutions when we discuss a problem and does not take offense if I disagree. His suggestions, in many cases, offer options that I had not previously considered. These are traits that one does not often find in politicians, and this is why I think he is definitely an asset to the Killingworth political scene.

As a longtime resident of the town who has served on a number of committees, including the Board of Finance, Fred is unreservedly committed to Killingworth. He has a clear understanding of town-wide issues, not just as they apply today but also as they have affected the town historically.

Fred has also served the town as chief of the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company for many years, an experience which has given him a strong background in leadership, organizational skills, budget issues, and long-term planning.

As a registered Democrat in town, I will switch my party allegiance to vote for Fred because I believe he is the strongest candidate on the ballot, regardless of party affiliation.

Sincerely yours,
W. Bryan Mahoney
