In an attempt to further increase recycling and operational efficiency at the Killingworth Transfer Station, improvements are being considered. From crushing cardboard and newspaper to save money to improving disposal of bulky waste, the town Pay As You Throw Committee (PAYT) is preparing to make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen. Formed by Selectmen to make suggestions to the Board, PAYT Committee is seeking residents’ opinions about waste disposal and Transfer Station operations. Input from town residents is considered an important part of the process; therefore PAYT Committee is asking Killingworth residents to participate in another of an ongoing series of surveys.
