for pool installation – 15 Surrey Ridge Road
Engineer Tom Stevens submitted a revised plan for the proposal for regulated activities in conjunction with installation of a swimming pool. An information sheet from the Pentair Pool website on System 3 Modular Media filters was distributed and discussed. No backwash from the filter is proposed for this particular type of filter. Mr. Stevens said that chemicals and/or salt products will be stored in the basement of the house. The only chemical that will be used is sodium chloride. Mr. Stevens also noted that the silt fence is shown on the revised plan. Mr. Herbert said that the filter module is supposed to be changed only once per year. He also said that the only time that salt is scheduled to be added is if a large amount of water is splashed out of the pool. After discussion of the proposal, T. Doyle moved to approve the revised plan. G. Rockwell seconded the motion. It was unanimously approved.
C. “Olde Church Commons” revised plan
Members reviewed the revised plan (dated 1/31/07, with 4 revisions, the most recent of which is dated 9/24/07). The main building has been moved back 14’ from its original location. The corner of the building is now within the 100’ wetland setback area. A 10,000 gallon storage tank to be used for the sprinkler system is being added but the tank will be out of the regulated area. Members agreed that the applicant will have to apply for a revised permit based on the new plan. Vice-Chairman R. Tanko will write a memo to the Planning & Zoning Commission stating that the members have reviewed the plan and agreed that the applicants will need a revised permit.
