The Killingworth Republicans have a long and storied tradition of providing the successful, farsighted, and fiscally responsible leadership that has successfully guided our community for the past two decades. As we approach what is perhaps the most important municipal election in the last 20 years, we stand ready and prepared once more to assume this role. The decisions made by our newly elected officials will affect the direction and character of our community for years to come. The Killingworth Republicans have tirelessly searched the community for committed, talented, and involved citizens. We have even reached across party lines to assemble a team with the best combination of experience, skills and diversity of ideas that will be advantageous to leading and meeting the challenges facing Killingworth.

Our community is facing the serious challenges of unprecedented growth, land use, recreational, and educational demands. These demands could, if not managed correctly, place severe financial and environmental strains upon Killingworth potentially destroying our cherished and unique rural character. The Killingworth Republicans are committed and prepared to successfully meet these challenges. Our goals are controlled and carefully managed growth, through strict enforcement of current regulations coupled with a thorough review and evaluation of their effectiveness. In addition, Killingworth will have professional, day to day management of municipal government to ensure that Town Hall is effectively serving its citizens.

We pledge a fiscally responsible approach to spending your tax dollars. After all, it's your money, not ours. We must get the most efficient use of all dollars proposed and spent on all capital, land use and recreational projects. We must carefully determine what we can really afford or if there is a more financially prudent alternative to any proposal that looks good on paper. Additionally, an educationally solid and fiscally responsible school system is essential in maintaining a healthy and strong community. This can be accomplished by electing Republican candidates to the Board of Education. They will both demand and work for educational excellence; understanding how their financial decisions can impact the non-educational goals of the community as a whole, such as municipal capital projects and a reasonable mil rate.

We, the Killingworth Republicans, pledge to continue our tradition of fiscal restraint, farsighted leadership, and working toward preserving our rural character. Above all, we will maintain our keen sensitivity to the needs and views of all Killingworth's citizens.
